Aggregate makes up roughly 70% of concrete by volume. If the grading is constant, the concrete is consistent — so we tie a project to a single quarry and keep a record of every delivery.
The standard governing particle size distribution, particle shape, fines content and physical properties of aggregates used in concrete. Our production and stockpiling are organised around the fraction limits this standard defines.
The standard governing aggregates used in asphalt and surface courses. In the wearing course, particle shape and surface texture are decisive — which is why crushed stone is preferred over gravel.
We prefer to supply the same project from the same quarry. Change the quarry and the grading and colour change with it; a fixed source keeps the mix consistent.
Fraction, tonnage and delivery date are kept on record. Samples are provided on request, and for project-specific assessments we work out the product and fraction recommendation with you.
Aggregate without a sieve analysis is concrete without control. Samples and delivery records are provided on request.
