We crush, screen and wash the material from the quarry and separate it into the fractions your project needs. Seven products, one source.
The project’s concrete class, layer thickness and application determine the fraction. If you are unsure, share the project and we will choose together.
| Product | Particle size | Typical use | Processing |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sand | 0–4 mm | Concrete, plaster, screed | Washed |
| No.1 crushed stone | 4–11 mm | Concrete, asphalt, precast | Washed / screened |
| No.2 crushed stone | 11–22 mm | Structural concrete (Dmax 22) | Screened |
| Coarse crushed stone | 22–45 mm | Road base, drainage | Screened |
| Fill / sub-base | All-in | Road sub-structure, levelling | Run-of-quarry |
| Plant-mix base (PMT) | Plant-mixed | Road base and sub-base | Mixed at plant |

Limestone from our quarries is the basic raw material for road and infrastructure works in the region. It can be dispatched as run-of-quarry straight after blasting, or passed through the crushing-screening line and separated into the required fraction. It is used directly in fill, levelling and road base applications.

No.1 crushed stone forms the fine-grained skeleton of ready-mix concrete. This fraction is also preferred in asphalt wearing courses and precast elements. It is stockpiled washed; with fines and clay removed from the surface, the cement paste bonds to the particle.

No.2 crushed stone is the load-bearing skeleton of Dmax 22 structural concrete. In densely reinforced elements it gives way to 4–11 mm. In hot bituminous mixes it is used in the binder course.

Crushed sand is the finest fraction, filling the voids in concrete. Because it passes through the washing line, its fines and clay content stays within standard limits — which means less water for the same workability, and less water means higher strength.

Well-graded fill and sub-base material used in road sub-structure, levelling and platform preparation. It compacts well and is an economical solution. Not to be confused with plant-mix: sub-base aggregate is a general fill, while plant-mix is a measured blend.

Plant-mix base (PMT) is material for road base and sub-base layers, blended at the plant in set proportions and at controlled moisture content. The grading of material mixed on site with a bucket is a matter of chance; in plant-mix the blend is measured and the result is repeatable.

Large limestone blocks hand-selected at the quarry, used in retaining walls, landscaping and architectural applications. Size and surface requirements are assessed per project.
